AP T01: Dolmabahçe Palace

The Dolmabahçe Palace, built in the 19^th century, embodies the social and cultural structure of that period in its form. Dolmabahçe, the latest residence of the Ottoman Sultans, is famous for its great collection of silver and metal creations, ceramics, porcelains, glass, crystals, paintings, furniture and 4.5 tons chandelier. After the tour in the palace, it is planned to pass across from Europa to Asia by the Bosphorus Bridge to arrive at Çamlıca Hill and enjoy the panoramic view of Istanbul and Bosphorus.

AP T02: The Old City
Date: 10.09.2009, 13:00-17:00



This trip has been planned to see the sights of the old city. You will see the Serpentine Column, the Obelisk from Egypt, the German Fountain at the Hippodrome, the former sporting and social centre of Istanbul. Afterwards, accompanying persons will be leaded to the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest covered markets in the world where you can find a rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather, and souvenirs.
